About the Workshop
ABL® Trauma-Responsive Psychodrama, developed by Adena Bank Lees, weaves together the neurobiology and psychology of traumatic stress, addiction, attachment theory, Internal Family Systems, and mindfulness practice. Grounded in—and expanding beyond—SAMHSA’s six guiding principles of trauma-informed care, this model offers a deeply experiential and responsive approach to psychodrama.
Participants will experience psychodramatic and sociometric structures adapted from the Therapeutic Spiral Model (Hudgins & Toscani), along with additional trauma-responsive psychodramatic techniques designed to support safety, empowerment, and choice.
